Description
In the very heart of Rab, city of some 2000 years, near the town loggia, there stands a romanesque palace dating from the 12th century. Today this old and once dilapidated monument has been restored to its original state with some modern touches of both eno-gastronomical and cultural nature. Within the walls of the palace one can find a, wine cellar housing some 130 different wines, an art gallery, a full range of accommodation from rooms to self-catering apartments and a 200-seater restaurant & pizzeria. The gallery plays host to numerous art exhibitions organised throughout the summer as well as to art colonies and classical music concerts.
“Paradiso” is the name given to a beautiful marriage of cultural festivities and this most delightful setting. Paradiso unites the past and present in a unique way! A fine example of how our creative passion can bring these exquisite architectural remains from the 12th century to life.
Through this passion Paradiso attempts, in the 21st century, to revive the old roman name of the city of Rab: Felix Arba. Felix meaning strength, progress, prosperity and potential.
